St. Peter's Church, Plemstall
Legend has it that, in the midst of a terrible storm, a fisherman vowed that if he were to reach dry land, he would dedicate a church to St Peter, the fisherman. Having reached the low island at Plemstall, he fulfilled his vow.
Plemstall is no longer an island but there is still a church of St Peter's in Plemstall.
